I already posted the one on the right, but I thought a better picture might do it a little more justice. I have enjoyed making these cards! Can't wait to get them in the mail, and I hope they are swap worthy, but most of all, I hope the ones that go to the troops are worthy as well!!

What To Work On Today?

I just recently read something I had seen before. It was another Stampin' Up Demonstrator that stated if you want you business to grow, you should do something everyday for your business!! I am guilty as a new demo of not doing this, but I think this is my pre-New Years Resolution. Well, that, and to lose some weight. But thats every year. Anyway, my goal is to post one thing or make something or just DO something every day, because I want everyone to know how much fun Stampin' Up is!!

Monthly Scrapbooking Night

One night a month, a bunch of us girls book a room at the library to get together and scrapbook, make cards, visit, and just kind of escape. Last night, I had a hard time getting into my creative groove... but i did manage to make 3 pretty decent and easy to make cards.

This was a really easy card, once I got the scoring information off my handy dandy Martha Stewart score too. It's a gated card with a base using Cherry cobler cardstock, with a second layer of Always Artichoke that has been embossed using an A2 embossing folder. I used the

2 3/8 scallop punch to punch out my beautiful Paisley Prints Christmas Tree. Voila! Easy Peasy!

This card was super easy too! I made another Cherry Cobler base, and made a layer with Very Vanilla cardstock, stamped the post card Merry Christmas stamp from our Mini Catalog using VersaMark. Sprinkled it with some superfine Gold Embossing Powder, hit it with the heat gun, so pretty!! I love this stamp, and I know I will use it for years to come! Attached it using some Dimensionals, put some Old Olive ribbon on it, and all done!!

This card has an Always Artichoke base, Real Red Ribbon, and a Scallop Punch edge. I used the 3/4 Circle Punch to punch out the circle embellishments from the Definately Decorative stamp set in the Idea Book and Catalog. The Holly Jolly stamp is from the Bright Christmas stamp set in the Holiday Mini catalog.

Hope you enjoy them!! You can get any of these products through my Stampin' Up Sales Sight!!

I am ashamed to say...

I haven't been crafting!!! I am currently in collecting mode again (stamps, punches, paper... etc). I need to just start again, but I can't seem to get motivated. Well, maybe lack of motivation isn't the problem, but I can't abandon ship on housework to craft, or else I feel guilty!! My goal is to hit cards and scrapbooking hard and heavy this week though, so I am hoping to have some stuff to share soon... as for now... it's back to Mount Laundry!

Christmas Cards....

Lately I have been having a hard time creating. I don't know if its the intimidation of "not being worthy" of being a stampin up demo... or lack of time or what... but, I hit creators block. So today, with all the kids at various grandparents' houses, I was free to play and create. I feel so much better! I have created two beautiful Christmas cards that would be fabulous demonstrations for parties!! Now if I could just get a couple of those booked!! Here are my cards (not great pictures, taken with my phone... but you get the point!), and a supply list after each card. All Stampin' Up products!!

Thanksgiving Card

So I am so proud of myself, I have purchased all this Stampin' Up stuff, brainstormed, etc, but kept chickening out on making anything!! Ugh! So the wonderful woman I signed up under sent me an email from Late Night Stampers with a challenge and the example card used French Foliage stamp set out of our Mini Catalog. In my card, I used the French Foliage and the Seasonal Sentiments stamp sets, both out of the mini catalog. I used Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Pumpkin Pie colored inks, and Old Olive and chocolate chip card stock. :)

~A Work In Progress~

Okay, so while patiently waiting for my Stampin' Up demo kit to arrive, I have been of course scrapbooking, and decided to show a sample of what is in the works at the moment.

This is the front. Obviously, it's not finished... but cute non the less. The plan is to put her birth year on the outside and journal on a really big tag on the right side. I totally scraplifted this from Lisa Bearnson circa 2009 on her editorial page, but for the life of me I cannot find that edition right now to give you an exact reference.

I am not the kind of girl that makes a book for each major occurance in a kiddos life. I am a scrap-condensed kind of person. But with birth, I think it needs a little extra space. I am tired of the standard two page layout though. So this was the solution. Here a a couple of extra side shots.

It's been so much fun remembering that day that seemed to take forever to come when you are on bedrest for 3 months! Hope you enjoy it!!

And so it all begins... and this is where it happens!

Well hello out there blog land!

So, this is the 2nd day of some big adventures. I have been busy cleaning up my creative space, and getting ready for my Stampin' Up! stuff to get here, so that I can hit the ground running. I decided to take some pictures and post, so everyone can see where my "creative engines" run. Plus, I think I am going to show ya'll some non-Stampin' Up! stuff that I do just as scrapbooking for my kids/family books. Here is a broad overview of my scrap space. I am blessed to have an understanding husband supports my hobby (just as I support his various happenings... its a win/win as far as I am concerned), so that means a good 1/4 of our bedroom is a scrap space... and there is more room to put an additional table in here as well as needed. Sometimes your friends don't wanna come over and scrap with you in your bedroom!
On the next few posts there will be other pictures with labels...
Until next time...
Amanda :)
